Who we are
This website is operated by LxCortex, Lda, a company registered in Portugal with its registered office at Rua do Alecrim 12, 1200-017 Lisboa. Throughout these terms, “we”, “us” and “LxCortex” mean LxCortex, Lda, and “you” means the person browsing the site or placing an order.
By using this site or placing an order, you agree to these Terms & Conditions. Please read them alongside our Privacy Policy. If you don’t agree with them, please don’t use the site.
Using this site
You may browse, shop and read freely. In return, we ask that you use the site lawfully and don’t attempt to disrupt it, copy it, or misuse the content. The text, illustrations, logo and design are ours (or used with permission) and are protected by copyright — please don’t reproduce them without asking first.
We try to keep product details, prices and availability accurate, but the site is provided “as is”. We may update content, change the range, or take the site down for maintenance without notice.
Orders & acceptance
When you place an order, you’re making an offer to buy, and we’ll email to confirm we’ve received it. Your order is accepted — and a contract between us is formed — only when we email to confirm it has been dispatched. Until then, we may decline or cancel it for the reasons below.
We may decline or cancel an order if:
- the product is out of stock or a small batch has sold out;
- there’s an obvious pricing or description error;
- we can’t obtain payment authorisation; or
- we suspect the order is fraudulent or breaks these terms.
If we cancel after you’ve paid, we’ll refund you in full.
Prices & payment
Prices are shown in euros (€) and include VAT where applicable. Shipping is calculated and shown at checkout before you confirm. We may change prices at any time, but changes won’t affect orders we’ve already confirmed as dispatched.
Payment is taken at checkout through our payment provider. We don’t store your full card details — see our Privacy Policy for how payment data is handled.
Shipping & delivery
We ship from Lisbon. Estimated delivery times are shown at checkout and in your confirmation email. They are estimates, not guarantees, but we’ll help where we can if something goes wrong in transit.
Responsibility for the parcel passes to you once it has been delivered. If anything arrives damaged or faulty, tell us within 14 days and we’ll put it right.
Cancellation & returns
Under EU consumer law you have the right to withdraw from your purchase within 14 days of receiving it, without giving a reason. To do so, just email us at hello@lxcortex.com before the 14 days are up.
Return unopened, unused products in their original condition and we’ll refund the price plus standard delivery within 14 days of receiving them back. For hygiene and food-safety reasons, we can’t accept returns of products whose seal has been opened, unless they’re faulty. This doesn’t affect your statutory rights.
If you’re returning an item because you changed your mind, you’ll need to cover the return shipping. If it arrives faulty or damaged, we’ll make it right.
Our products
LxCortex products are foods — food supplements and food-and-drink blends — not medicines. We describe them honestly, by their ingredients, taste, dosage and craft, and we make no medical or health claims.
Food, not medicine
Nothing on this site is medical advice or a claim to treat, cure or prevent any condition. Don’t exceed the recommended daily dose, and keep products out of reach of children. If you’re pregnant, nursing, taking medication or managing a health condition, talk to a qualified professional before changing your routine.
Liability
We stand behind the quality and safety of what we make, and nothing in these terms limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that can’t be limited under Portuguese or EU law.
Beyond that, our liability for any order is limited to the amount you paid for it. We’re not responsible for indirect or unforeseeable losses, or for results that depend on how a product is used as part of your own routine.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of Portugal, and any dispute will be subject to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the Portuguese courts. If you’re a consumer in the EU, you also keep the protection of any mandatory provisions of the law in your country of residence.
EU shoppers can also use the European Commission’s Online Dispute Resolution platform at ec.europa.eu/consumers/odr.
